Library’s AVID Center open for students

The AVID Center, located upstairs in the campus library, is available for students. It provides academic tools and space for study groups, work groups, workshops, seminars and presentations to help students reach their academic goals.

A new series of workshops will begin February 1 and cover a wide range of topics including “Stress, Balance and Boundaries,” “A&P Guided Study Group,” 12 Steps for Trauma Survivors and Their Families,” “How To Make the Most of Blackboard,” “How To Start a Paper” and “Boss Yourself: How To Get Started In Business.” Many faculty members will also hold office hours in the AVID Center to assist students in need. The AVID Center is located upstairs in room 202A. For more information about the workshops or using the AVID Center, contact Deba Swan at 254-526-1475.
