Central Texas College (CTC) will host a celebration of its new brand and logo on Wednesday, March 27 and will also unveil the five finalists for the school’s mascot contest. The event will be held in the Anderson Campus Center (Bldg. 156) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
During the celebration, samples of CTC”s new “Students of the Real World” ad and promotional campaign will be on display and the student “stars” featured in the campaign will be available to meet and greet guests and relay their story on how they were chosen to represent the school. There will also be a “casting call” to select more students for future promotional campaigns.
Also during the event, CTC will unveil the five suggestions selected as finalists for the school’s mascot contest. CTC held a month-long online suggestion contest for a new mascot. CTC used to be known as the Golden Eagles in the 1970s but a mascot has not been affiliated with the school in many years. Students and employees will be able to vote for their choice and the winning mascot will be announced near the end of April.
The celebration will also include plenty of door prizes, refreshments, entertainment and goodie bags. The event is free and open to all students and employees.
