Central Texas College (CTC) is offering recent high school graduates an opportunity to further enhance their writing and mathematics skills with a boot camp in July. The three-week camp is free and open to any 2014 high school graduate who needs developmental course work in writing and math. One writing session and two math sessions will be offered during the camp which runs July 7-25. The deadline to sign up is July 2.
Students will be offered a free re-test on the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment for college-level course work at the end of the camp. Students scoring high enough on the re-test may then be able to opt out of developmental courses in writing and math once they start their college career.
If interested, e-mail Megan Costilow, CTC director of public education and special projects, at email@example.com for a registration form.
